Over the years our servers have had the chance
to meet many
different people that visit Dysart’s
for a meal. They have heard crazy life
stories and
even had the chance to experience first hand what
a 53-year-old
marriage looks and acts like. Summer
and especially holidays are like an open
door,
welcoming tourists and travelers and their unique
life stories. This
summer has started out no different.
Truck drivers at the Truckers table when the restaurant first opened.
First, we got the chance to serve lunch to about
50
Canadians on a tour bus, heading to a wedding.
Bride to be Christelle Landry
and her soon to
be husband Alexandre Babin have brought together
their closest
friends and family, loaded them on a tour
bus and have plans to get married.
Destination wedding:
Manhattan, New York. With a pit stop at Dysart’s to
grab a
solid meal to fuel up for the long road ahead.
Christelle and Alexandre are
from New Brunswick,
Canada. They have been on a couple of bus tours before.
Many times these bus tours pick people up in Canada
and head for the road. Traveling
south to Boston,
New York, or New Jersey, basically anywhere
south of Maine.
Christelle and Alexandre rented a tour
bus headed to Manhattan, New York, where
they
would hold their wedding ceremonies. With a
designated tour bus driver
this left plenty more
time to enjoy everyone’s company. We wish the
best for
Mr. and Mrs. Babin to be!

After recently returning from his fourth tour in the
military, AJ Pelletier seemed relaxed and at peace to
be home in
“vacationland”. Three of Pelletier’s tours
have been in Afghanistan and the
fourth in Iraq.
Joined by Steve Cyr, a veteran who has served many
 tours and
years in the military they enjoyed a home
cooked meal of steak and potatoes
catching up on
missed time. Pelletier is making plans to continue
 his education
now that he is home. As for Steve,
he is working on a CD to soon share his love
of
music with the world. We are honored to have served
these two men a home
cooked meal for all of their
hard work and dedication in serving our country
and continuing to protect our freedom.

We love hearing different stories of where people
are from
and where they are headed. We had another
couple start their bike journey in
California, head to
 Yellowstone…through some tough winter weather,
ended up
eating lunch here at Dysart’s and were then
 headed south. Being only the
beginning of July
anyone can understand how this couple put over
4500 miles
under their belt already.
